Ashley Ann Fry and Christopher Gerald Martin were united in marriage Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Summerton Baptist Church in Summerton.
The bride is the daughter of David Alan Fry and Sandy Ayers Fry of Summerton, and the granddaughter of the late Vernon Charles Ayers and Mrs. Floree Ayers Cooper of Greenville, and the late Mrs. Shirley Brown Fry, the late Myrtle Knight Fry and the late Chic Burger Fry. She is a graduate of Clarendon Hall, and is the owner of Lake Marion Insurance Agency and a partner with Swift Creek Outfitters, both in Manning.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Sherry Anderson Martin of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Mr. Jerry Martin of Sumter, and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Van Anderson, and Mrs. Barbara Martin and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Jo Martin, all of Sumter. He is a graduate of Woodside High School in Virginia, and is employed as superintendent with L.A. Smith and Co. and is a partner with Swift Creek Outfitters.
Pastor Bob Ashba officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Candace Ashba, pianist; James Mark Burns, organist; Samuel David Sanders, Guitarist; and Amanda Kathryn Jenkinson and Brynne Cooper Sanders, vocalists.
Given away by her father, David Alan Fry, the bride wore a stunning A-lined sweetheart crystal embelleshied ball gown wedding dress. Her bouquet was made of hydrangeas, roses, Fuji mums and hypericum.
Bridesmaids bouquets were made of alstromeria lilies, Fuji mums, roses and hypericum.
Groomsmen wore white roses, while the groom wore a white rose.
Virginia Katherine Whetsell served as the maid of honor; Stephanie Harrington Barkley served as the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids included Audrey Lynn Schafer, Lesa Marie Mosier, Courtney Danielle Fry, Emily Ann Allen, Courtney Barkley Brown and Emily Marie Vining.
Lana Grace Brown served as flower girl.
Bobby Gerald Martin served as best man.
Groomsmen included Roger Legette Flowers III, Matthew Alan Fry, William Lewis Rogers III, Franklin Delano Rogers Jr., Brandon Keith Barkley, the late Wesley Keeton Evans and Norman Paul Davis Jr.
Jackson Keith Barkley served as the ringbearer.
The rehearsal party was given by the family of the groom at Lake Marion.
The reception was given by the parents of the bride at Santee Cooper Country Club.
The couple now resides in Summerton.
