Youth Conference to be held April 16

The South Jordan River Union will hold its 2nd Youth Conference beginning 10 a.m. April 16, with a theme of “Young Minds in Training,” at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 2571 Joseph Lemon-Dingle Road in Manning. Thematic scriptures will include Proverbs 22:6 and II Timothy 2:15. There will be praise and worship workshops for all ages, including music and movement, health and nutrition, bullying and motivation. Fopr adults, there will be health and nutrition workshops and Bible study. Facilitators include Sister Patriai M. Moyd, Sister Brenda C. Clark, Minister Jacqueline Jackson, Sister Kim Johnson and Minister Robin Kelly. Sister Dorothy James will present a skit. At 2 p.m. there will be praise and worship, an oratorical speaker, a skit, and praise choirs and dancers. Brother Jabril Wilson will be the oratorical speaker. Praise Dance Advisors include Sister Diane McKinney and Minister Tavonia Pearson. Musicians include Brother Jerry Lloyd, Brother Harold Bradley, Brother Justin Thompson and others. Mass choir directors include Sister Brenda C. Clark and Brother Tyrone Cummings. The Rev. O’Donald Dingle is the moderator for the South Jordan River Union, and the Rev. Bobby McDonald is vice-moderator. Affiliated churches include Antioch, Bethlehem, Briggs Chapel, Gum Spring, Holly Hill, Macedonia and New Light Baptist churches.
