Clarendon County to hold child advocacy training

Posted
The Clarendon County office of the Cass Elias McCarter Guardian ad Litem Program is offering 30-hour child advocacy training programs at no cost, with the next class starting April 5. Children who enter the foster care system are in desperate need of caring adults to safeguard them. They deserve a strong child advocate to be their voice. If you are 21 and older and can give four to five hours a month to visit a child, you can change a child’s life. You do not need a college degree or a legal or social work background. The very best child advocates are people who care about children. Clarendon County residents who are concerned about child abuse victims can get involved this month.
