Bond has been denied for a 29-year-old Florence man charged with the murder of a 47-year-old Turbeville man.
Tommy William McGee, 29, of Florence, will have to wait at least 45 days before he can seek another bond hearing before a Circuit Court judge. He is accused of the death of Turbeville resident James. E. Welch at a nightclub on John Street in Lake City early Wednesday morning.
Welch died after being transferred by EMS to a local hospital, Florence Coroner Keith von Lutcken said. He said an autopsy will be performed at the Medical University of South Carolina hospital.
