The Aftermath: Girl Scout Troop continues helping flood victims

Posted

Girl Scout Troop 329 continued helping flood victims last week by assembling personal hygiene items for families displaced by the enormous storm. During the week, they collected more than 60 items to donate to Clarendon County. The troop had, the week before, gathered donations to assist families displaced by the waters who were staying at the Scott's Branch High School shelter. Those folks were moved to Camp Bob Cooper Oct. 9. The girls agreed that "there is no greater service than giving back to the very community where you live. To help neighbors in needed is a great feeling."
