KINGSTREE - Troy Madison McKenzie, 76, husband of Barbara "Bunny" Taylor McKenzie, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at his home.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 24, 2015, at Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Burial followed at Smith Cemetery, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home.
Born Aug. 21, 1938, in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late William Madison "Pomp" McKenzie and Camilla Bryant McKenzie. He ws a veteran of the Army Reserves and had retired after many years of operating his own fencing business. He was a member of Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Murdock and Bull McKenzie; a daughter, Victoria McKenzie; and a grandson, Gunner Epps.
Survivors besides his wife include three sons, Rocky McKenzie (Viney), Danny McKenzie and Ray McKenzie (Tammy); three daughters, Sherry McKenzie Hester, Mitsy Foxworth (Jimmy) and Tina Vause (Neil); three sisters, Annette Ardis (Jimmy), Ola Mae Love and Lois Taylor; a brother, Mike McKenzie; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
