Supermarket Sweep 1: Melissa State takes $234 in groceries from Manning IGA

Posted

The Manning Times held its first Supermarket Sweep on Thursday night at the Manning IGA. Melissa State of Turbeville was our first contestant, and got $234.76 in groceries from the store. State registered at The Country Store in Turbeville, and went mostly for staples like rice, meat and beans, also picking up cereal, cold cuts, hot dogs and even Ramen noodles. She said she had a great time, but racing through the store with a buggy made her tired. We will post video of our second contestant Saturday. Rob Morris Construction is the sponsor of our GoPro footage.
