GOP announces results from local convention

The Clarendon County GOP elected the officers during its Convention held Saturday at Cornerstone Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church in Manning, with Chairman Moye Graham elected for another term to that position. Cindy Risher was elected executive committeewoman for the party, while Ed Mitman was elected first district vice-chairman, Bobby Lambert was elected second district vice-chairman and Harry DeVoe was elected third district vice-chairman. Delegates elected to the State Convention to be held later this year include Graham, Lambert, Mitman, Risher and June Brailsford, John Matthews, Tracy Mitman and Al Risher. Alternates to the State Convention include Debbie Royer, Garland Hart, Nancy Gambell, John Eaddy, Harry DeVoe and Barbara Ardis. "Thank you to all who came to the reorganization, make-up reorganization and the Clarendon County Convention," Graham said. "We had a really good turnout and several guests, including speakers Lin Bennett, the first vice-chairwoman of the state GOP and A.D. Jordan of Sen. Tim Scott's Charleston office, along with the Rev. Leon Winn." Graham said the party is "blessed in Clarendon County to have folks like y'all that support the party and its platform." "No matter who we support as individuals, we always get behind the Republican nominee," Graham added.
