Bus wreck on Greeleyville Highway, children fine

The S.C. Highway Patrol is reporting a school bus wreck with no injuries on S.C. 261 or Greeleyville Highway near Prospect Avenue.
The wreck, which happened about 3:29 p.m. Friday, was caused by an SUV running into the back of the bus. Clarendon County Fire and EMS officials were on the scene. The children were on the bus and calm. A first responder said no children were injured. Information on the driver of the SUV was not available. Traffic is backed up in both directions.

    It looks like the stop sign is actually out in the first picture. Either way, I’m glad the children were ok and calm. I hope the driver of the SUV is ok.

    What does the stop sign on the bus have to do with anything when you’re behind it? Are brake lights and a stopped school bus not enough?
