Harmon P. Hodge Sr.

Harmon P. ”Pat” Hodge Sr., 81, husband of Joyce Rogers Hodge, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, at his home.

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Alton Hodge and Mildred Hodge. Mr. Hodge was a member of Unity Baptist Church. He was retired from Campbell Soup Co.

Survivors besides his wife include two daughters, Wanda Garner of Alcolu and Bonnie Oxendine of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; five brothers; and four sisters.

He was preceded in death by a son, Harmon P. Hodge Jr.; a daughter, Shelby H. Green; and a granddaughter, Tina Grubb.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Eugene Cottrell officiating. Burial followed in the Sumter Cemetery.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

The family received friends at the home, 4855 Huckabee Road in Sumter.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
