ECHO providing funds to quell homelessness

Posted
Financial relief for individuals and families imminently at risk of becoming homeless due to eviction or other verifiable reasons, or who are literally homeless, is now available through the Eastern Carolina Homelessness Organization. The goals of these funds are to provide access to safe and sanitary housing and the services and assistance needed to improve their housing stability. The ESG program will fund short-term rental assistance to prevent homelessness, as well as help move homeless persons back into permanent rental housing. Funds are specifically targeted for 12 counties, including Clarendon, Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Lee, Marion, Marlboro, Sumter and Williamsburg. For more information, or to apply, call ESG Program Coordinator Richard Bailey at the Myrtle Beach ECHO office at (843) 213-1798, or toll-free at 1 (844) 300-1531.
