A 31-year-old Summerton man told deputies about 11:29 p.m. Aug. 5 that a woman approached him in the path by Wasau Park in Summerton and punched him in the head several times, ripped his shirt and pushed him into a metal fence about 10:53 p.m. that day. The man’s aunt told deputies at Clarendon Memorial Hospital that the man is slightly mentally disabled with “a child-like demeanor.” The man told deputies that he was having pain in his head and shoulder. Clarendon Memorial Hospital released the man that same night.
