Helen Rose Gamble, 69, died Friday, August 22, 2014, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born May 31, 1945, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd B. Mixon and Elsie Gamble Mixon. She was a member of Turbeville Southern Methodist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Steve Gamble (Connie) of New Zion; four nephews, Mike Mixon (Althea) of Lynchburg and Steven Gamble (Courtney), Jason Gamble (Jennifer) and Martin Gamble (Anna Lynn), all of New Zion; and two nieces, Sarah Green (Scott) of Lynchburg and Allison Gamble Horton (Lee) of Inman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Phillips; and a brother, Mickey Mixon.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Jolly officiating.
