As dive teams with the state Department of Natural Resources continue to search Lake Marion today for a man who went missing about 7 p.m. Friday night, some details are coming out about the young man.
Capt. Robert McCullough has confirmed that the man is from Florence, and is a paramedic who also serves as a volunteer firefighter with Florence County. His name is being withheld.
McCullough said the man's family reported him missing Friday night after he went swimming and never resurfaced. DNR is also utilizing a helicopter for aerial searches.
