Evangelist Deloris R. Felder

Evangelist Deloris R. Felder, 63, wife of more than 40 years to Thomas Lee Felder Sr., died Thursday, July 31, 2014, at the Medical University of South Carolina hospital in Charleston.

Born Feb. 10, 1951, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Alonzo and Julia Robinson Ragin. She attended Clarendon County public schools. She served as a local minister for the Fire Baptized Holiness Church until her death.

Survivors besides her husband include four children, Rena Mae Ragin, Thomas L. Felder Jr., Christopher Felder and Vanesha Felder; a granddaughter she raised as her own, Zi'Quajah Felder; six siblings, Leola R. Parks, Kathleen Bennett, Reponza Ragin, Devauda Ragin, Alfonzo (Shirley) Ragin and Reginald Ragin; a sister-in-law; three brothers-in-law; two aunts; an aunt-in-law; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Homegoing services for Evangelist Deloris R. Felder will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at Prayer House Mission Church, with the Rev. Eartha B. Carter, pastor, officiating, and the Rev. Dr. Susan Wilson delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Fire Baptized Holiness Church cemetery.

The casket will be placed at noon in the church until the hour of services.

A viewing will be held from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
