A 74-year-old woman living in the 1100 block of Kenwood Road in Manning told deputies about 12:30 p.m. Monday that someone broke into her home between 9:45 a.m. that day and the time of her call and took several sets of engraved silverware, $4,500 in cash from an already-broken safe and three bottles of prescription medicine while she was gone from her home. The woman stated the silverware - located in her dining room - included a punch bowl set with tray and ladle and three sets of flatware with 12 pieces each, all bearing the initials AMM and TFM. She said the safe was in the bedroom and would not lock. A jewelry box was also taken, along with the prescription medications that were in the woman's bathroom.
