Manning man charged with kidnapping

A 34-year-old Manning man who threatened a Manning woman after she refused to have sex with him will remain at the Clarendon County Detention Center after being charged with kidnapping. Bond was denied last week for Leon Antonio Hilton, 34, of 2898 DuRant Lane in Manning, after he was arrested July 5 by the Manning Police Department at a home in the 100 block of Alfred Henry Drive in Manning. There, a the victim told police that Hilton said he would kill her if she did not have sex with him, and that he would not let her go. When she was finally able to get to her cell phone and call 911, Hilton allegedly punched her in the face and cut her on the arm with a knife from the kitchen. Patrolman 1st Class William B. Secrist II reported seeing the cut on the woman's arm, but noticed no marks on her face.
