Bishop Dr. John H. Griffin, 86, husband of Leona Griffin, died Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Tabernacle of Prayer Outreach Ministry, 239 Main St. in Summerton, with the Rev. Jesse Boyce officiating. Burial will follow in the Ark of God Cemetery in Santee.
The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. for viewing until the hour of services.
Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. today at Simmons Funeral Home of Santee. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will also receive friends at the home, 6524 Five Chop Road in Santee.
