Posted
Clarendon County Controller Lynden Anthony told Clarendon County Council on Monday night that there is currently a $443,194 deficit in the proposed budged for the 2014-15 fiscal year.
"We do have a deficit for first reading, but we will come back at second reading hopefully having balanced that," Anthony said.
Anthony estimated the county would spend about $19,460,234 in the next fiscal year, which begins July 1. This is about $1.2 million more than the current fiscal year, which ends June 30. He said the county will bring in about $19,017,040 in revenue.
