Johnson trial enters third day

The double-murder trial of Justin Jermaine Johnson will continue this morning at the Clarendon County Administration Building. Public Defender Scott Robinson continued his pointed questions of Kaisha Caraway, the mother of slain 9-month-old Jayden, on Wednesday morning before moving on to Capt. Ricky Richards with the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office, whom Kaisha told at the scene April 6, 2011, that Johnson shot the boy and her grandmother, Maxine Caraway. Questioning Wednesday afternoon moved on to the two deputies who questioned Johnson on the day of the shootings, Maj. Kipp Coker and former deputy Mason Moore, who testified via Skype from Montana. Robinson's questioning has specifically targeted Kaisha's emotional state on the day of the killings, in the aftermath and in the courtroom. He has criticized her lack of emotion during taped interviews and in her own testimony. The trial could last through next week.
