William Edward Bagnal

William Edward Bagnal, Sr., 81, widower of Loraine Tucker Bagnal, died Monday, January 11, 2021, at McLeod Health Clarendon. 

Born September 24, 1939, in Manning, he was a son of the late William Taylor Bagnal and the late Virginia Holladay Bagnal. He was a retired farmer and a member of Union United Methodist Church. 

He is survived by two sons, William E. “Billy” Bagnal, Jr. (Norma Jean) of Clarksville, TN and James C. “Cliff” Bagnal of Manning; three daughters, Connie Bagnal Gibbons (Kent) of Turbeville, Lisa Bagnal Anderson (Bruce) and Libby Bagnal, both of Manning; three sisters, Mary Bagnal Lee (Elvie), Rosa Lee Bagnal Cooper (Dan), both of Andrews and Annie Bagnal Sills (Jimmy) of Manning; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Craig Bagnal; and two sisters, Martha McLeod and Ruby Lowder.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2021, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Wright Turbeville officiating. Burial will follow at the Wilson Community Cemetery at Union United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Roy Young, Ernie Young, Taylor Bagnal Foster, Jacob Bagnal, J.C. Bagnal and Troy Bagnal.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 2939 Flinn Road, Manning.
