Tractor-trailer fire closes I-95 most of Monday morning, one man injured

The S.C. Highway Patrol said a tractor-trailer fire which blocked a portion of Interstate 95 near the Sumter-Clarendon line early Monday morning sent one man to a Sumter hospital. The man's identity is not being released. The incident happened about 5:30 a.m. Monday at the 145 mile-marker in the northbound lanes of the interstate. Traffic was blocked for about six hours, and then moving only in one lane afterward. As of this posting, the wreck is still listed as active by the Highway Patrol.
