The Manning High Monarchs varsity boys basketball team traveled to Lake City for the first round of the 3A State Playoffs.
The Monarchs lead nearly the entire game. Late in the fourth quarter, the Lake City Panthers made a charge and took a 49-48 lead. The Panthers went on to make two free throws and extended their lead to 51-48.
Manning takes the ball down court and scores a basketball. After some tough defense they scored again. Manning goes up to 52-51 and has a free throw up coming. After the made free throw, the Monarchs are up 53-51 and hold on to that final score.
With the win, the Monarchs will face the Ridgeland/Hardeeville Jaguars Friday night at a neutral site.
