COVID-19

Sumter Clarendon Heart Walk transfers to Virtual Walk

Posted

Dear Friend of Heart,

As a science-based organization which cares deeply about the health of our communities, the American Heart Association has been closely following the guidance from the CDC and state and local health officials on the coronavirus (COVID-19). The health and safety of our community has been and will continue to be our top priority.

We have decided that the best course is to remove the uncertainty for our guests and not hold our Heart Walk event on at USC Sumter. We know you were excited about attending, so we are inviting you to our virtual event! Gear up and join us virtually on Saturday, April 4, from 9:00-12:00 noon. Share your healthy selfies using #SumterClarendonHeartWalk and be ready have a virtually good time.

Please visit our Virtual Heart Walk page on Facebook!

We would like to thank our incredible team of volunteers, sponsors and donors, who have given generously to impact the health of our community. The funds we raise are critical to our urgent mission: to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. Your continued gifts will be used to fund lifesaving research, support health and education initiatives in our community, improve the quality of care in our hospitals, advocate for healthy policies and so much more.

We appreciate your support and flexibility as we adapt our plans, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,

Christina Darby
