Santa Claus to visit Clarendon County Library

Posted

Get your children ready, because the man with the jolly red suit is going to be making a special visit to the Harvin Clarendon County Library.

The special visit will take place on Nov 26, at 4:00 p.m., and will include various activities for the whole family.

The program is completely free, and children will be able to meet Santa and have their pictures taken. Santa will also be telling stories about him and his elves from the North Pole. This is the best time for children to meet with Saint Nick and tell him exactly what they want for Christmas.

“Just remember, I love you; and there is nothin' you can do about it,” said Santa Claus himself.

The man in the suit is an extreme professional according to the library, and this isn't the first time he has stopped by the library.

“This is his third year here, and we are always blown away by how incredible he is,” said Director of the Clarendon County Library Charlotte Johnston. “I have watched him communicate through sign language with children who have a hearing impairment; this is not your average mall Santa.”

Lee Andrews, who portrays the man in the red suit, has been doing it for 10 years, since then, he has become one of the most sought after Christmas entertainers on the East Coast. His website, which refers to him as the “Real Georgia Santa,” outlines his love for being a performer.

“When Lee Andrews was 6 years old, his love of Christmas became over abundant when his grandmother purchased him his first Santa suit,” reads his website, therealgeorgiasanta.com. “It was at that moment he dedicated every Christmas to portraying the legendary figure of Santa for friends and families.”
