Sallie Mae Davis Wilson, 100, widow of Robert Benton Wilson, died Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at The Oaks of Clearwater, Florida.
Born June 9, 1919, in Manning, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Lenoir Davis and the late Dodye Hinnant Davis. She was a loving and dedicated daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. A lifelong Christian, she was a longtime member of Ashley River Baptist Church in Charleston.
She is survived by her son, Robert Benton Wilson, Jr. and wife, Pam, of Ormond Beach, Florida; her daughter, Gene Lenoir Wilson Upmeyer and husband, Ernst, of Belleair, Florida; five grandchildren, Kerstin Upmeyer, Karin Upmeyer Eby, Paige Wilson Dunigan, Robert Wilson III and Matt Wilson; and three great grandchildren, Taylor Eby, Brandon Eby and Claire Dunigan.
Burial will be at the Manning Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
