Ruby Tennant Spigner, 77, widow of Paul Haskell Spigner, Jr., died Saturday, February 22, 2020, at McLeod Hospice House.

Born February 23, 1942, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Tennant and the late Mary Emily Barrett Tennant. She was a retired home care nurse.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam S. John (Glenn) of Cross; four grandchildren, Troy McKnight of Greeleyville, Brandon Tucker and Christy Spigner, both of Manning, and Theresa McKnight of Summerville; three great grandchildren, Hunter McKnight and Kenley McKnight, both of Summerville, and Alaina Spigner of Manning; a brother, Joseph “Sonny” Tennant (Nancy) of Sumter; and four sisters, Betty Gamble of Manning, Sylvia Amerson of Sumter, Lillian Watford (Joe) of Florence and Madeline McLeod (Larry) of Sumter.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul H. Spigner III; a brother, Furman Tennant; and three sisters, Lucy Myers, Myrtle McCall and Mary Jane McCall.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, February 29, 2020, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11 a.m. to noon at Stephens Funeral Home.
