Pauline Horton

 Pauline Richburg Horton, 86, wife of William Everette “W.E.” Horton, Jr., and fondly called Gaga by her beloved grandchildren, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born May 16, 1934, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Rubin Richard Richburg and the late Geneva Mitchum Richburg. Pauline graduated from Manning High School on June 5, 1952. She retired from Carolina Power & Light in 1993 after many years of loyal service. Pauline was a member of Manning United Methodist Church, the Margaret Jones Gamble Sunday School Class, and the Myrtle Strange Circle. She was a member of The Lord Clarendon Cotillion. Pauline loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed shopping any chance she got. She was an avid tennis player and spent many fun filled days on the courts with her teammates. When the tennis years ended, she filled the free time by playing bridge with her long-time friends. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Susan Elmore (Robby) of Manning; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne, William and Ansley; two sisters, Ruby Lane of Florence and Ann Farley of Conway; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Hummin R. Tobias and Everlina R. Ardis.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at Clarendon Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Kem Thomas officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the residence, 529 Woodland Drive, Manning.
