Nettie Olivia Floyd Ridgeway

Nettie Olivia Floyd Ridgeway, 80, widow of Robert Lee Ridgeway, Jr., died Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at McLeod Hospice House. 

Born February 27, 1940, in Turbeville, she was a daughter of the late John R. Floyd and the late Vera Eleanor Lynch Floyd. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, Dr. Robert Lee “Bobby Lee” Ridgeway III (Deborah) of Manning; two daughters, Olivia Ridgeway “Libby” Lindler (Ken) of Little Mountain and Shawnette Ridgeway McDonald (Jimmy) of Florence; six grandchildren, Victoria Ridgeway Pollard (Richard), Robert Lee Ridgeway IV (Caroline), Kristina Lindler Williams (Lee), Ethan Shane McDonald (Ashley), Matthew Kenneth Lindler and William Robert “Will” McDonald; three great grandchildren, Emma Kinley McDonald, Ansley Grace McDonald and Collins Elizabeth Pollard; and two brothers, Johnnie Floyd (Joyce) of Lilburn, Georgia and Henry Floyd of Manning.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2020, at Manning First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Phillip Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson Community Cemetery at Union United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Harold Amaker, Buddy Holladay, Danny Holladay, Matthew Lindler, Calvin Stone and Bo Shotwell.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Heritage Room of Manning First Baptist Church.
