McLeod Health, Prisma Health and DHEC to offer free mobile COVID-19 testing

May 19, 2020 McLeod Health, Prisma Health and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) have partnered to host a COVID-19 mobile testing clinic in Clarendon County. Prescreening is not required, and specimen collection is free. Patients will be contacted within seventy-two hours with the results of their test. 

The event will be held at the Manning Junior High School, 1101 W L Hamilton Road, Manning, SC 29102 on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

“We are pleased to be able to offer increased access to COVID-19 testing to those in our community,” said Rachel Gainey, McLeod Health Clarendon Administrator. “Testing asymptomatic individuals without known exposure our hope is to better understand the extent of COVID-19 in our area and to help stop the spread in our communities”. 

Scott Sasser, MD, incident commander over Prisma Health’s COVID-19 response, said, “Testing is a priority for Prisma Health, especially providing access to communities that need it the most. We are pleased to partner with McLeod Health and DHEC to provide testing to individuals in communities.” 

Other partners include Clarendon School District 2, Clarendon County Administration, Emergency Management and Sheriff’s Department, Mayor of Manning Julia Nelson, South Carolina Department of Transportation, South Carolina National Guard, South Carolina Army National Guard, and South Carolina Air National Guard.
