Manning Lions Club member Lion Joe McNeil was awarded the Lions International President’s Award at the Lions District 32 State Convention Apr. 29, 2023 in Florence, SC.
The award was presented by LCI International Directors Lion Ron Keller from Ohio and Lion Diane Pitts representing South Carolina.
This Award is the second highest award in Lionism and is awarded by the International President to Lions who have shown a significant level of commitment to the principals of Lions and outstanding contributions in the world
of service beyond the club and district levels.
Lion Joe was also awarded the South Caroling Lions Vision Services Distinguished
Civic Service Award for 2022-2023 for his work with LVS assisting in the coordination of the Blind and Visually Impaired Fishing Tournament. This tournament has been an annual event for over 30 years providing blind and visually impaired individuals with the opportunity to go fishing, many for the first time in their lives.
