Manning High students visit Provalus to explore tech careers

Posted

A group of students from Manning High School visited Provalus on May 1, touring the facility, learning about the company’s mission, and taking aptitude and computer literacy tests as part of a hands-on career exploration experience.

Led by Travis Baker, Global Career Development Facilitator at Manning High, the visit aimed to expose students to local, high-demand career opportunities in the technology sector. After a guided tour of the company’s downtown Manning location, students were treated to lunch before completing skills assessments designed to evaluate their interests and readiness for tech-driven roles.

The visit was organized in collaboration with Provalus, a technology firm focused on bringing IT jobs to rural communities.

Joseph Kloiber, Delivery Director at Provalus, said engaging with local students is an essential part of the company’s mission.

“We want these students to see what’s possible without ever having to leave their hometown,” Kloiber said. “There’s real opportunity here—for training, for growth, and for building a meaningful career in tech.”

Provalus continues to partner with local schools and workforce programs to nurture homegrown talent and develop the next generation of IT professionals.
