LMA JV baseball team gets 12-2 win over Florence Christian

Laurence Manning Academy JV baseball jumped out to an early lead over Florence Christian and took home a 12-2 victory on Tuesday March 23. LMA scored on a single by Bryson Smith, a double by Bryson Hodge, and a fielders choice by Clayton Baker in the first inning. LMA secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the third inning. Hodge, Baker, Ian Harris, Layne Bowen, and Wyatt Powell all drove in runs in the frame. Clayton Baker got the start on the pitcher's mound for LMA. Baker allowed three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out four. LMA racked up 12 hits. Joe Wilson, Bryson Smith, and Bryson Hodge each collected multiple hits for Laurence Manning Academy Swamp cats JV. Hodge, Smith, and Wilson each collected two hits to lead LMA. It was a complete performance by the Swamp Cats, as they didn't commit a single error in the field, and they stole 12 bases during the game, with three players stealing more than one. Smith led the way with three steals. Hardy went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Florence Christian in hits. Florence Christian didn't commit a single error in the field. LMA plays at Hartsville High School on Thursday at 6pm.
