John Peter Koziczkowski, 84, husband of Mary Ellen Moody Koziczkowski, died Sunday, January 3, 2021, at McLeod Health Clarendon.
Born May 23, 1936, in Stevens Point, WI, he was a son of the late Benedict Joseph Koziczkowski and the late Theresa Lucille Sigman Koziczkowski. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and he was a Shriner.
He is survived by his wife of Manning; a daughter, Lori Williams (Earl); two granddaughters, Tiffani C. Horner (John) and Whittney “Nikki” Morris (Zachary); six great grandchildren, Carson Rach, Braxston Horner, Brantley Morris, Keegan Horner, Kane Morris and Sullivan Morris, all of Sumter; three brothers, Stanley R. Koziczkowski (Barbara) of Ellsinore, MO, James A. Koziczkowski (Kathleen) of Neenah, WI and Thomas B. Koziczkowski of Spartanburg; two sisters, Rose M. Verdon of Greenville, WI and Shirley Spiegelberg (David) of Neenah, WI; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Koziczkowski; a brother, Robert J. Koziczkowski; and two brothers-in-law, Robert J. Verdon and Daniel J. Ebben.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with Pastor John Allen Lynch officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home.
