Jean Bradham Jonté, 86, widow of Robert Wells Jonté, died Friday, October 23, 2020, at the home of her daughter, Melanie Steen.

Born September 25, 1934, in Alcolu, she was a daughter of the late King Lee Bradham and the late Willie Mae Thames Bradham. She was the first female mail carrier in Clarendon County, former treasurer for the Chapin Rotary Club, and former real estate agent for ERA Wilder Realty. She was a faithful member of Chapin United Methodist Church and later moved her membership to Bethel Baptist Church in Sumter.
 
She is survived by three daughters, Debra M. Richburg of Moncks Corner, Melanie M. Steen (Michael) of Sumter and Renee M. Wilder (Eddie) of Pawleys Island; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a brother, John Bradham (Becky) of Mt. Pleasant; three nieces; and a nephew.
 
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Bradham; and a sister, Frances Plowden.
 
No services are planned at this time.
