Janie Mae Parker Anderson, 81, of Summerton, South Carolina, wife of the late Wayne  Allen Anderson entered into eternal rest Thursday, November 24, 2022. A memorial service will be held at Lake Marion Baptist Church, 1182 Scott Lake Road, Summerton, SC 29148 on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.

janie was born September 10, 1941 in Olanta, SC, daughter of the late John  Henry  Parker and Mary Louise Chandler Parker. She was referred to by many as an as Angel. Janie worked at K-Mart Corporation and retired after 20 years. She worked hard, and became a bookkeeper with the Clerk of Court Office in Charleston County with more than over 20 years of service when she retired.  She owned her own business for over 15 years “Granny’s Attic” in Manning, SC. She gave more than she sold and many knew her as “Granny.” Janie was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and attended Hope Lutheran Church. She was devoted and worked various jobs within the church. She will be remembered for her kindness, integrity, faithfulness and love to all who knew her. She loved thrift stores, yard sales and milkshakes with her grandkids. She enjoyed reading, cooking, living by the lake and helping anyone she could be it family or a stranger. Janie loved everyone and treated all better then herself.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Doebler of Summerton, SC, five grandchildren: Shannon Freeman (Lee), Stephanie Darnell, Daniel Darnell (Brittney),  Katelynn Hinton, Jason Doebler, 11 great-grandchildren: Grayson Freeman, Graham Freeman, Logan Freeman, Lilly Freeman, Brittney Darnell Welch, Harmony Darnell, Addison Darnell, Charlotte Darnell, Avery Doebler, Easton Doebler, Makenzie Doebler.

Janie was preceded in death by her daughter, Evelyn Hinton and two grandchildren, Michelle Darnell and Michael Doebler.
