George Wayne Burke, 82, husband of Constance McInnis “Connie” Burke, died Sunday, May 24, 2020, at his home.
Born April 22, 1938, in Alcolu, he was a son of the late George Wilbur Burke and the late Valaree Hodge Burke Moore. He was a US Air Force veteran and a member of Clarendon Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years of Alcolu; two daughters, Tammy Martin (Wade) of Manning and Terrie Mishoe (Frank Bleasdale) of Alcolu; five grandchildren, Camlin McLellan (Jonathan) of Manning, English Cutter (King) of Manning, John Rodgers Mishoe of Mt. Pleasant, Tyler Martin of Manning and Burke Mishoe of Charleston; and a great grandson, Benson McLellan.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Trinity Cemetery in Alcolu with the Rev. Mike DeCosta officiating.
