Frances McAllister Hill

Frances McAllister Hill, 88, widow of Marion Thomas Hill, died Sunday, March 29, 2020, at NHC of Sumter.

Born October 16, 1931, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late John McAllister and the late Frances Newton McAllister. She was an amazing mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was a faithful member of Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church and cherished her church family.

She is survived by three children, Debbie Hill Linkous (Barry) and Tom Hill (Sharon), both of Salem, Virginia, and Gwen Hill Lee (Mike) of Manning; a sister, Valerie Wilder of Florida; six grandchildren, Ryan Linkous (Amy), Benjamin Linkous (Luisa), Courtney McFaddin (George), Whitney Welch (Jonathan), Matthew Hill and Cady Hill; twelve great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a precious grandson, Cary Michael Lee, Jr.; three brothers, Zeke, Luther and John McAllister; and three sisters, Linnie Mae Weeks, Maude Esther McCabe and Aires Mitchum.

A private graveside service will be held at the Manning Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank her caregivers who blessed her in the last years of her life.
