Ferrellyn Alsbrook Cox Bryant, 62, died Monday, July 20, 2015, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 28, 1952, in Manning, "Funny" was a daughter of the late Leland Alsbrook and Mary Elizabeth Bush Alsbrook. She was a member of YES (Young Energetic Seniors), the Tax Professionals of America and several professional business groups. She was the former owner of Funny’s Boiled Peanuts, the owner and operator of Cox Tax Service for 48 years and Ram Bay Auction.

Survivors include a daughter, Charity Cox (Brandon Johnson) of Manning; two sons, C. Kristen Cox of Manning and W. Kasey Cox of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers, Jerry Alsbrook (Sharon) and Terry Alsbrook (Nancy), both of Manning; a sister, Sherrellyn Davis of Jefferson, N.C.; two nieces and a nephew; and a multitude of friends that she loved as family.

A Celebration of Life Service for Ferrellyn Alsbrook Cox Bryant will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2015, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home, with Pastors Jim Johnson and Sammy Thompson officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Stephens Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of her daughter, 214 S. Boundary St. in Manning.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
