Posted

Hours after an initial explosion at Georgia Pacific’s Clarendon OSB plant Monday, the fire is still burning.

First responders have been on the scene for most of the day, and at least one person has sustained injuries and been transported to the hospital.

The Alcolu facility is one of seven locations owned by GP in South Carolina. They produce tissue, packaging, building products, pulp and other chemicals that go into several household brands.

More information on this incident will be reported as it becomes available.
