Debra “Debbie” Parker Ardis, 70, wife of William “Billy” LeGrande Ardis, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at McLeod Health Clarendon. 

Born June 14, 1952, Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Francis Marion Parker and the late Charity Green Justice Carter. She was a graduate of Manning High School class of 1970, where she was a cheerleader and a member of the Beta Club and May Court. She retired from Trans South Financial and later retired from Federal Mogul Credit Union. She was a member of Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church. Debbie loved her family, fishing and music.

In addition to her husband of 47 years, she is survived by a daughter, Ashley Ardis of Manning, a son, William Mathis “Matt” Ardis of Manning, grandson, Bryson Mathis Hodge of Manning, two sisters, Sheila Rowell (Wayne) of Moncks Corner and Judi Thynes (Jason) of Manning, two brothers, Wade “Buddy” Justice (Moira) and Mark Justice (Lisa) of Manning and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jason Wilson and Rev. Vernie Batten officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Matt Ardis, Jason Thynes, Wes Brunson, Mark Justice, Cody Justice and Hunter Thynes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Matt Avin, Curt Richburg, Wayne Rowell and Buddy Justice. 

The family received friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church.
