Abducted Virginia children found safely in Clarendon County

An Amber Alert set off in Roanoke County, Virginia, was settled at a traffic stop on I-95 in Clarendon County Wednesday, officials say.

South Carolina Highway Patrol arrested the three children’s mother, Ruby Allison at the traffic stop where they found Cameron Allison, 6, Emma Allison, 6 and Colin Allison, 21 months.

The biological mother of Cameron is aware of the situation, according to the troopers, and is in contact with the police department.

The abduction happened on Tuesday around 3 p.m., officials say. Apparantly, the Roanoke County Social Services had attempted to serve a court-ordered child removal of the children when husband John Allison refused to give their location to CPS.

Both John and Ruby Allison are charged with three counts of abduction, with Ruby awaiting extradition to Virginia.

The children are currently in the custody of the South Carolina Highway Patrol with Virginia authorities working out how to return them.
