The East Clarendon Wolverines welcomed the Kingstree Jaguars to their building last night. This matchup would be a hard fought battle between two teams who are looking to make some noise in Region 7-2A. The EC varsity boys are 11-3 with a perfect 5-0 region record after last nights game.
The Wolverines were able to pull out a thrilling 74-69 victory in overtime to remain perfect in region play. The team was lead by Tyjhai Calvin who scored 27 of the teams 74 points. Jaquail Wilson went for 11 and Jalen Bryant scored 10.
Other notable scorers were Keyon Wilson with 8, Landon Strickland with 6, Nicholas McFadden with 2, Marquis Pearson with 9, and Tymere Cooper with 1.
East Clarendon will travel to Latta on Friday to play a Vikings squad who are 4-1 in region play. Their only loss is to Johnsonville High School. (REGION MATHCUP)
