William Lee "Bunk" Cantey, 70, died on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at McLeod Health Clarendon.
He was born on Saturday, Nov. 6, 1948, in Clarendon County, to the late George and Mary Daisy Merchant Canty.
Survivors include three daughters, Dianne Cantey-McCaulla (Sean), Dr. Mary Daisy Cantey-Thomas (Winfield) and Sylvia Canty-Roman (Cesar); five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Taw Caw Missionary Baptist Church in Summerton, with Dr. William T. Johnson, pastor, and the Rev. Willie J. Chandler, eulogist, officiating.
Mr. Cantey will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. on Saturday, for viewing until the hour of service.
The family is receiving friends at the home, 1020 Louis St. in Summerton; and the home of his daughters, 5 Second St. in Summerton.
Mr. Cantey's mortal frame is peacefully resting in the professional care of King-Fields Mortuary, Summerton, (803) 485-5039.
