Residents of Manning have noticed an increase in phone calls from people claiming to provide some sort of service. But the caller is actually trying to steal their identity. According to Manning City Police Chief Keith Grice, he has received numerous complaints from people that have received this type of call. If someone calls and asks for your social security number, your date of birth, or even banking information, do not give it to them. Try to write down any information such as the caller’s name, company name, or phone number and hang up.
