LMA JV beats Panther Athletic Club by eight runs

The Laurence Manning Swampcats JV baseball team easily did away with the Panther Athletic Club 12-4 on Thursday. The Swampcats fired up the offense in the first inning, when Mickey Jordan grounded out, scoring one run. The Swampcats scored four runs in the fifth inning. The rally was led by a walk by Coleman Yates, a single by Bryce Acord, and a groundout by Cam Branham. Jackson Clemmons led things off on the pitcher's mound for the Swampcats. He allowed seven hits and three runs over six innings, striking out four and walking zero. Landon Gay was on the hill for PAC. He allowed one hit and two runs over one inning, striking out one. Yoder, Zane Kirby, Bryant, and Hinkle each entered the game as relief, throwing three innings, one inning, two-thirds of an inning, and one-third of an inning respectively. The Swampcats saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Jackson Brown, Davis Campbell, and Austin Geddings each had multiple hits for LMA. Geddings, Campbell, and Brown each collected two hits to lead LMA. Jordan led the way for the Swampcats with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 12 stolen bases. Landon Gay led PAC with two hits in three at bats.
