Bobby Lee Dow, affectionately known as "Boo-Boo," was born Feb. 20, 1949, to the late Robert Watson and Dorothy Dow. He died Friday, April 5, 2019. Bobby Lee was raised in the Pinewood community, where he also received his educational background. He was a groundskeeper at Milford Plantation, until his health failed. He leaves to cherish his precious memories three daughters, Dorothy (Eric) Walters and Leslie (Thomas Rogers) McBeth, both of Sumter, and Barbara (Carzelle) Singleton of Warner Robins, Georgia; his devoted brother, Gilbert (Sonja, his caregiver) Dow of the home; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one aunt, Mary Ann Hawkins of Manhattan, New York; one uncle, Paul Dow of Leland, North Carolina; other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at West End Community Church, 101 S. Salem Ave in Sumter, with the Rev. Lavaron Johnson officiat The family will receive friends at the home, 507 Claflin St. in Pinewood. Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St. in Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.
