ROCK HILL – Muldrow Brockington “Mul” Rigby Jr., 71, widower of his beloved sweetheart of 48 years, Sarah Wilson Rigby, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at his home in Rock Hill.

Born Jan. 9, 1948, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Muldrow Brockington Rigby Sr. and the late Miriam Fridy Rigby. Mul had a long successful career in business and through this was fortunate enough to travel the world. He was a member of Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church. He will always be loved and remembered as a most kind and generous person.

He is survived by his father-in-law, Thomas Reese Wilson of Alcolu; two sons, Muldrow Brockington “Brock” Rigby III (Heather) of Rock Hill and Charles Thomas Rigby (Summer) of Elgin; a daughter, Sally Rigby Wall of Rock Hill; six grandchildren, Zeb Rigby, Chet Rigby, Rigby Wall, Babe Rigby, Lijah Rigby and Jacob Brinkman; two great grandchildren, Maci Wall and Stryker Brinkman; a sister, Judith Ferguson (Rob) of Rock Hill; and many beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019, at New Harmony Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Cameron Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Manning Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Jacob Brinkman, Muldrow B. Rigby IV, Rigby Wall, Robbie Ferguson, Joe Richburg, Reese Wilson and Brantley Brown.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at New Harmony Presbyterian Church.
