Andrew Boyd threw a shutout to lead LMA Varsity past Florence Christian 10-0 on Friday. LMA tallied five runs in the sixth inning. LMA batters contributing to the big inning included Boyd, Gabe Harris, and Brewer Brunson, all knocking in runs in the inning. Boyd was on the hill for LMA. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over seven innings, striking out 16 and walking zero. Preston Miles toed the rubber for Florence Christian. He surrendered seven runs on six hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out seven. Justin Gibbs and Cole Procik entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one-third of an inning respectively. LMA totaled eight hits. Britton Morris and Boyd all managed multiple hits for LMA. Boyd and Morris each collected two hits to lead LMA. LMA didn't commit a single error in the field. Seth Stamps had 16 chances in the field, the most on the team.
