Sherman Green, 27, was arrested on March 6, 2019, at Tractor Supply in Manning. Green had allegedly been harassing and threatening a Tractor Supply employee on previous occasions. As a result, a warrant had been issued for Green. While Manning Police Officers were at Tractor Supply on March 6 handling an unrelated minor shoplifting incident, Green again entered the store and walked around. Officers recognized Green and quickly ensured exits were blocked before approaching Green. As Green moved toward the front of the store, he was stopped by law enforcement officers and told there was a warrant, and he was asked to put his hands behind his back. At this time, he was asked if he had any weapons. Green confirmed he did, and a chrome Lorcin .25 handgun with pearl handles was confiscated and is held by the Manning Police Department. Green was arrested on charges of unlawful communication, assault in the 3 degree and unlawful carry of a firearm. He has been released on a bond of $10,000 while he awaits trial.
